What is the difference between the DS PH and the DS Action?
The DS Action is a modern dive watch, while the DS PH has a retro feel: it recalls the shapes of old dive watches, with today's technology. If you like the vintage style but don't want the hassle of an old watch, the DS PH is the way to go.
What is each DS PH model good for?
- DS PH100M – 10 atm, for everyday wear and swimming; it also comes in a women's version.
- DS PH200M – a classic 20 atm dive watch, already suited to real dives.
- DS Super – the most serious pieces in the series; the family includes watches rated at 50, 100 and even 200 atm.
Do you need 200 atm?
Honestly: not in daily life. For swimming 10 atm is enough, and for recreational diving 20–30 atm is plenty. The extreme water resistance of the DS Super is more about wearing a truly oversized, tough watch – and many people love exactly that. We suggest letting style and case size decide, not the number.

How to choose a case size online
The PH100M is the most compact and the DS Super the most imposing – on the wrist the difference is significant. Check the case diameter and thickness in the product details, and compare them with a watch you already wear. Our own watch service will adjust a metal bracelet to size.

What determines the price of the Certina DS PH?
The model and the movement: the quartz DS PH100M is the entry level of the series, the automatic DS PH200M is mid-range, and the DS Super versions with extreme water resistance are in the higher range.
How water-resistant is the Certina DS Super?
The DS Super is the member of the DS PH family with the highest water resistance, made in 50, 100 and even 200 atm versions. That goes far beyond the needs of everyday diving.
Is there a women's Certina DS PH?
Yes, mainly in the DS PH100M version. These are water-resistant to 10 atm, so they are fine for swimming too.
