Men's Ceramic Watches – Rado Captain Cook, True Square, TAG Heuer
The backbone of our men's ceramic watches is Rado – True Square, Captain Cook and Anatom Automatic – alongside the ceramic versions of the TAG Heuer Formula. We are an official dealer of both brands, with manufacturer's warranty and home delivery. A ceramic watch belongs to the higher price range because of its scratch-resistant high-tech ceramic case and Swiss movement – in return it looks years later as it did on the first day.
Why Rado for a ceramic watch?
Rado is a Swiss brand founded in 1917 and a member of the Swatch Group, and in the watch industry it is known as “the master of materials” for its high-tech ceramic cases. The Captain Cook debuted in 1962 as a dive watch, and its ceramic versions are 30 ATM. With its monolithic ceramic square case, the True Square is the brand's more modern face.
What does a ceramic case offer on a men's watch?
- Scratch resistance: high-tech ceramic is far harder than steel and does not wear from everyday use.
- Colour retention: black or white does not fade and never needs polishing.
- Comfort: it is light, and on contact with the skin it quickly takes on body warmth.
- Caution: hard but brittle – dropped on a tile, it can crack.
Which men's ceramic model should you choose?
For a sportier look and use in the water, the Captain Cook; for a minimalist design with character, the True Square. If you want an automatic movement and an ergonomic, curved case, the Anatom Automatic.
You will find other materials on the men's watches by case material page. The weight and surface of a ceramic watch are hard to convey in a photo, so the product page also lists the weight and case size – and behind the Captain Cook stand sixty years of dive-watch history.
Men's ceramic watches – what is worth knowing
Can a ceramic watch break?
Yes, ceramic is very scratch resistant but brittle, so it can crack if dropped onto a hard surface. This is rare in everyday wear, but be careful during sport.
Why is a ceramic watch more expensive than a steel one?
Making a high-tech ceramic case is more complex: the powder is sintered under high pressure and temperature, then machined with diamond tools. Add the Swiss movement, and the ceramic models are in the higher price range.
Can I swim with the Rado Captain Cook ceramic watch?
Yes, the ceramic Captain Cook models are 30 ATM and suitable for diving too. Always screw the crown back in before swimming.
