Looking for a men's watch that holds its own in the office and at the weekend? A stainless steel case is the safest foundation: with us the men's stainless steel watches are the widest selection, from affordable Casio and Seiko models to the Swiss Longines and TAG Heuer pieces. Casio, Seiko, Tissot, Citizen, Longines, TAG Heuer – all from official dealers, with the manufacturer's warranty and home delivery.
Why are most men's watches stainless steel?
A stainless steel case does not corrode, stands up to water and sweat, and looks good polished or brushed. It does collect scratches over time, but these can be polished out – this material can be worn for decades. It is heavier than titanium or plastic, and many people look for exactly that solid feel.
Which stainless steel men's watch should you choose?
- A first serious watch: a Casio Edifice chronograph or a Seiko 5 Sports automatic, good value for money.
- For swimming and holidays: Tissot T-Sport Seastar or Longines HydroConquest – a good share of the range is 10 ATM or more.
- Elegant, for a suit: Citizen Elegance Man or a slim, clean Baume & Mercier.
- For motorsport fans: TAG Heuer Carrera and Formula, Festina Chrono Bike.
Metal bracelet or leather strap on a steel case?
A steel clasp is more durable in the long run and does not get soaked in summer, but it needs to be sized to your wrist – it is best to leave the removal of links to a service, and our own watch service does it too. A leather strap is more elegant and can be swapped later, turning one watch into two different characters.
You can compare other case materials on the men's watches by case material page. If you are torn between two models, measure the circumference and width of your wrist and compare them with the case diameter on the product page – that way you can work out online which fits better.
Common questions about men's steel watches
What determines the price of a men's stainless steel watch?
Mainly the brand, the movement (quartz, automatic, solar) and the finishing. Casio and Seiko are the entry band, Tissot and Citizen the mid-range, and Longines and TAG Heuer the higher price range.
Does a stainless steel watch case rust?
No, a stainless steel case does not rust with normal use. After sea water it is worth rinsing with fresh water so that salt does not build up at the clasp.
Can I swim with a stainless steel men's watch?
The case material does not decide that, the water resistance does: from 10 ATM you can swim with it without worry. A good share of our range is at least 10 ATM, and the dive models are 20–30 ATM.
Do stainless steel men's watches come with a warranty?
Yes, every watch comes from an official dealer with the manufacturer's warranty. Warranty and later repairs are handled by our own watch service.
