Table clocks – mantel clocks and shelf clocks to order
Right now we can only offer table clocks to order: there are none in stock, and 2 models are available in the webshop, from the Astron and Merion ranges. If you're looking for a clock for a chest of drawers, a mantelpiece or a desk and want to see it in person, tell us what you're after and we'll bring it into one of our Szeged stores. You get a genuine product from us, and our own service desk helps with battery changes too.
What's the difference between a table clock and a mantel clock?
A mantel clock is a larger, more decorative table clock, usually with a wooden or metal case, originally made for the mantelpiece above a fireplace. Table clock is a broader term: it covers a small desk piece just as much as a showier model meant for a living room shelf. It differs from an alarm clock in that it's mainly there as decoration and to tell the time, not to wake you up.
How to choose a table clock
- Distance: if you'll read it from the sofa, the dial should be large and high-contrast.
- Sound: for a bedroom or study, choose a continuous-sweep movement that doesn't tick.
- Style: a wooden case suits classic interiors, a metal or white case suits modern ones.
What can you order now?
Of the two available models, one is listed under Astron table clocks and the other under Merion table clocks. If you're after a different type, it's worth checking the alarm clocks among our other products too – many of them look great as a table clock.
Feel free to ask us if you're looking for a gift – a few questions and we'll narrow it down quickly.
