Fabric Watch Straps – Hirsch and Original Tissot Woven Straps

Our range includes Hirsch Arne and Hirsch Vocem as well as original Tissot woven straps in 20, 21 and 22 mm widths. Order online and have it delivered, and if you would rather not handle the swap yourself, our own watch service will do it.
Who is a fabric watch strap for?
For anyone who wants a lighter, more relaxed strap than leather and does not want to deal with the weight of metal. It looks best on pilot and field watches and sporty chronographs, but even a simple three-hand watch gets a younger look with it. It is less warm in summer and does not stick to the skin.
Fabric, NATO or hybrid strap?
- Classic fabric strap: two separate pieces with a buckle, like a leather strap. The watch is attached with the usual spring bars.
- NATO strap: a single long band that is threaded under the watch. If you are looking for one specifically, ask us, as we may be able to source it.
- Hybrid: the Hirsch Arne has a woven outer but a water-resistant inner material, so even with a fabric outer it can handle water.
How to clean a fabric strap
Take it off the watch, wash it by hand in lukewarm, lightly soapy water, then let it dry completely. Tissot's original fabric straps fit Tissot cases exactly, so if you own a Tissot, we recommend those.
If you are curious about other materials, the full range is on the straps by material page. It is worth getting a fabric strap alongside the one you already have: the same watch takes on a very different character with a light woven strap in summer and a leather one in winter.
Fabric watch straps – the most common questions
Is a fabric watch strap waterproof?
A traditional fabric strap soaks up water, so it is not ideal for bathing, although it survives if it gets wet once. The Hirsch Arne, however, is a hybrid with a water-resistant inner, so you can wear it in the rain and when sweaty with more confidence.
What is the difference between a NATO and a traditional fabric strap?
A NATO strap is a single long band threaded under the watch, so the watch does not fall off even if a spring bar comes loose. A traditional fabric strap is two pieces with a buckle, so it is thinner under the wrist and fits the case more elegantly.
What kind of watch suits a fabric strap?
Mostly pilot and field watches and sporty chronographs, but it also makes a simple three-hand watch more relaxed and youthful. For a Tissot watch we recommend the original Tissot fabric strap, as it fits the case exactly.
