19 mm watch straps – Hirsch leather straps for odd lug widths

The choice of 19 mm watch straps is narrow, because this is a rare, odd size: it appears mainly on older classic men's watches and a few brand models, so few manufacturers make it. In this size our range includes the Hirsch Aristocrat L and the Hirsch Duke L. If you need another colour or style, ask us and we will look into what can be ordered.

Why is an 18 or 20 mm strap not right for a 19 mm watch?

An 18 mm strap sits between the lugs with half a millimetre of gap on each side: it shows, it moves, and the spring bar wears out the hole. A 20 mm strap could only be fitted by squeezing it, which also ruins the leather. For 19 mm lugs it is therefore best to look for a 19 mm strap.

Hirsch Aristocrat or Duke?

The Aristocrat is the more formal piece: for a classic men's watch and a suit. The Duke is more casual, an everyday wear that goes with jeans and with anything from a shirt to a T-shirt. Both are L versions, meaning a longer strap for an average or larger men's wrist.

  • Hirsch Aristocrat L – dressy, for a suit
  • Hirsch Duke L – for everyday wear

What if you like neither?

Write to us: we will look into which other 19 mm straps we can source and let you know. In the meantime you can see the other sizes on the watch straps by width page.

Before ordering, measure the lug width with calipers and check your wrist circumference too, so that the longer L version is sure to work for you.

19 mm straps in brief

How do I choose a 19 mm watch strap online?

First check on the back of the old strap, or with calipers, that the lug width really is 19 mm. Then decide on the style: the Aristocrat is the dressier one, the Duke the more casual. Both are L versions, the longer cut.

What determines the cost of a 19 mm Hirsch strap?

Hirsch straps are in the middle price range; the cost depends on the type of leather and the version. If you want a different colour or model on special order, it is worth asking in advance.

Which watches have 19 mm lugs?

Mainly older classic men's watches and some brand models. If your old strap says 19, you need exactly that.
