Vostok Europe is a Lithuanian brand, from the Vilnius company Koliz Vostok, and the Vilnelė takes its name from the small river that flows through Vilnius. While most people know the brand for its large, heavy expedition watches, the Vilnelė is a more restrained, more feminine piece that fits under a shirt cuff and does not weigh down the wrist.
Should you buy a solar or a quartz Vilnelė?
- Solar: light entering through the dial charges the rechargeable cell, so for years you do not have to think about battery changes. All you need to do is not leave it at the bottom of a drawer – wear it, or at least keep it somewhere bright.
