Looking for an understated everyday watch that looks good with a shirt sleeve and with a skirt suit alike? In the Seiko Classic collection you will find women's and men's models in roughly equal proportion. With few exceptions they have quartz movements, and most are 10 atm. As an official Seiko dealer we supply them with a manufacturer warranty and home delivery, and when a battery change is due years from now, our service will do it.
Who do we recommend Seiko Classic watches to?
To anyone who does not want to fuss over their watch: you put it on in the morning, and it is still accurate in the evening. Classic models get a simple, easy-to-read dial and a slimmer case, so they slide under a shirt cuff too. We often suggest them as gifts as well, because it is hard to go wrong with them.
Women's or men's Classic – what is the difference?
- Classic women's – a smaller case, often a two-tone or gold-tone metal bracelet; on the Diamond and Dress pieces, a dial set with tiny stones.
- Classic men's – a larger but elegant case, with a leather or metal strap; a few automatics are among them.
- Rotocall Reissue – a retro-flavoured reissue, if you want something more special.
What to look for in water resistance
Most Classic watches are 10 atm, and you can swim with these without worry. The 5 atm models, however, are more rain resistant, so leave the shower and the pool out with them. If you do not know which is which, it is always on the product page, or ask us.

Is the Seiko Classic quartz or automatic?
The vast majority of Seiko Classic watches are quartz, but there are a few automatic men's models too. Quartz is more accurate and needs no attention, while an automatic runs without a battery.
How often does the battery need changing in a Seiko Classic?
In a Seiko Classic quartz watch the battery change is usually due every few years. We do it in our own service, and you can send the watch by post.
Is a Seiko Classic watch a good gift?
