Why ceramic on a Bering watch?

High-tech ceramic is one of Bering's trademarks. It is light, smooth to the touch, and its glossy surface keeps its shine for a long time. On the Ceramic watches it appears on the bezel, as a case insert or on the links of the strap, so the watch takes over the role of a bracelet too.

Which Bering Ceramic should you choose?

  • For the office and everyday, we recommend the more understated pieces with a steel-toned case – they go with almost anything.
  • If you would wear it as jewellery, choose one where the ceramic also appears on the strap; that looks best next to a bracelet.
  • For a slim wrist we recommend a smaller case diameter – compare the size given on the product page with the watch you wear now.

How does the Bering Ceramic cope with water?

Most Ceramic models are 5 atm, a few 3 atm. Hand washing and rain are no problem, but take the watch off before swimming or showering. If you are unsure, the exact value is always on the product page.

How to compare ceramic colours online

Open the models you have your eye on side by side and look at the close-up photos: the glossy ceramic surface looks different in the light than steel. We suggest starting from the tone of the jewellery you wear most often.

You will find the brand's other lines among the Bering watches, and the complete range for women on the Bering women's watches page.

Common questions about ceramic Bering watches

Does the Bering Ceramic watch scratch?

High-tech ceramic is hard to scratch, and its glossy surface stays beautiful for a long time. It is more sensitive to impact than steel, though, so don't drop it on a hard surface.

What movement do Bering Ceramic watches have?

Bering Ceramic models have a quartz movement and run on a battery, so they never need winding. Our own watch service can change the battery.

Can I shower with a Bering Ceramic watch?

We don't recommend it, because Ceramic models are 3 or 5 atm. They handle hand washing and rain, but not the shower or swimming.

Are there only women's Bering Ceramic watches?

The Bering Ceramic watches in our range are women's models. For men, we usually recommend the Titanium series instead.
