In the Certina DS Action dive watches you'll find both men's and women's models in our range. The watches in the series are water-resistant to 20 or 30 atm; the men's models are mostly automatics, the ladies' models mostly quartz. This is one of Certina's most sought-after series. What makes the Certina DS Action a dive watch?
A dive watch is one that has at least 20 atm (200 m) of water resistance, a unidirectional rotating bezel and good legibility. DS Action models are just that: 20 or 30 atm, luminous hands, a screw-down crown and, following Certina's DS principle, sapphire crystal and a reinforced caseback.
Automatic or quartz DS Action?
- Automatic – many Certina automatics come with the Powermatic 80 movement, which gives about 80 hours of power reserve. It won't stop between Friday and Monday.
- Quartz – lighter, flatter, no need to think about it; most women's DS Actions are like this.
Who do we recommend the DS Action to?
To anyone who wants one watch for everything: the beach, swimming, gardening and the office too. It is also suitable for real diving, but most people choose it simply because there is no need to be careful with it. On a metal bracelet it looks more elegant, on a rubber strap sportier; you can later swap the strap at our service.

Decide on the movement first: if you wear it every day, the automatic Powermatic 80 is the right choice, and if you rotate your watches, quartz is more practical.
