Tissot Ballade – classic women's and men's watches with Powermatic 80
The Tissot Ballade is the brand's more ornate, classic line: a Roman-numeral or index dial and a gently curved case. Our range includes both women's and men's models, with quartz and Powermatic 80 automatic movements. Ballade models typically have 10 atm water resistance, so everyday water will not harm them. As an official Tissot dealer we deliver them to your home with the manufacturer's warranty, and our own watch service helps with strap changes.
What kind of watch do you get in the Tissot Ballade series?
The Ballade is part of Tissot's classic collection, and you can see at first glance that it is made more for a shirt, a blouse or dressy occasions. Most models are elegant, a few have a sportier tone. Among them you will find Classic Ballade, Classic Contemporary and Ballade Powermatic pieces, as well as dedicated women's Ballade models.
Quartz or automatic Ballade?
- Quartz Ballade – slimmer, lighter, and the entry level of the series. If you only wear it at weekends or on special occasions, this is the better pick.
- Ballade Powermatic – automatic, with an 80-hour power reserve, so you do not need to reset it even after a long weekend. It is the higher price range, but it needs no battery.
What does 10 atm mean on a dressy watch?
10 atm (100 m) water resistance means hand washing, rain, a shower and a little swimming are no problem. Do not take a leather-strap version into the pool, though: the strap will give out sooner than the watch. If you want that, choose a metal bracelet, or have the strap changed at our own watch service.
How to choose a Ballade online
Check the case diameter on the product page and compare it with the watch you have worn so far, or with a ruler on your wrist. Many people choose a women's and a men's Ballade as a couple's pair; in that case it is worth looking for the same dial colour and strap material.
If the Ballade is too ornate, take a look at the full Tissot range, which also has the plainer series.
Questions about the Tissot Ballade
Is there a women's and a men's Tissot Ballade?
Yes, the Tissot Ballade is made in both women's and men's sizes, and our range includes both. Many people choose them as a couple's pair.
Is the Tissot Ballade automatic?
The Ballade is available in both quartz and automatic versions. The automatic Ballade Powermatic models are powered by Tissot's Powermatic 80 movement with an 80-hour power reserve.
What determines the cost of a Tissot Ballade watch?
Mainly the movement: quartz pieces are at the entry level of the series, Powermatic automatics in the higher price range. The strap material and the dial finish also have an effect.
Can you swim with a Tissot Ballade?
With 10 atm Ballade models you can swim as well. With a leather strap, though, it is best to take it off, because water wears the strap quickly. You will find the exact value on the product page.
Does the Tissot Ballade come with a warranty?
Yes, as an official Tissot dealer we sell it with the manufacturer's warranty. Later battery or strap changes can also be done by our own watch service.
