Seiko Chronograph – Quartz Stopwatch Watches for Men

Looking for a sporty men's watch with a stopwatch at a sensible price? The models of the Seiko Chronograph collection all have a quartz movement, and the great majority are 10 atm, so you do not even have to take them off at the pool. You can choose from metal and leather strap versions, and classic and retro dials. As an official Seiko dealer we sell them with a manufacturer warranty, and when the battery eventually runs out, we replace it in our service.

What can a Seiko chronograph do?

A chronograph is a built-in stopwatch: with the pushers next to the crown you start, stop and reset it, and you read the elapsed minutes and hours on the small subdials. Seiko's quartz chronographs are good because they are accurate, never need winding, and the stopwatch works just the same even if they have sat in a drawer for weeks.

What models are in the collection?

  • Seiko Chronograph men's models – this is the bulk, with metal and leather straps.
  • Neo Sport chronographs – with a bolder, sportier case.
  • Macchina Sportiva – with a motoring feel and a retro dial.

How to choose a chronograph

If you have a slimmer wrist, pay attention to the case height: because of the stopwatch mechanism, chronographs are thicker than a simple three-hander. We usually suggest checking the case thickness on the product page, not just the diameter – the thinner pieces slide under a shirt cuff. The placement of the pushers matters too: in the classic layout, the upper one starts and stops, and the lower one resets.

Beyond the collection, the full Seiko range also includes automatic and solar chronographs. Feel free to ask, and we will explain what each pusher is for.

Questions and answers about Seiko chronographs

What is a Seiko Chronograph?

The Seiko Chronograph is the brand's collection of quartz wristwatches with a stopwatch function. With us these are all men's watches with a sporty look.

Can you swim with a Seiko chronograph?

Most Seiko chronographs are 10 atm, and you can swim with these. Do not press the stopwatch pushers underwater, though, because water can get in.

What does the price of a Seiko chronograph depend on?

The difference comes mainly from the strap, the case material and the dial. The leather strap base models are the collection's entry level, while the metal bracelet and special dial pieces are the higher category.

Does the battery drain if I use the stopwatch a lot?

Yes, a continuously running stopwatch uses up the battery faster in a quartz chronograph. When you are not timing anything, it is worth stopping and resetting it.
