Orient Kamasu – 200 m Automatic Dive Watches

The Orient Kamasu dive watch is a descendant of the Mako III, which is why you may also come across it as the Mako III in our range. The Kamasu men's models are automatic and rated 20 atm, i.e. water resistant to 200 metres. We are an official Orient dealer, the watches arrive at your door with the manufacturer warranty, and our own watch service helps with sizing the metal clasp.

Kamasu or Mako – what is the difference?

The Kamasu grew out of the third generation of the Mako family, which is why people often search for it as the Mako III Kamasu. It has the same sporty dive watch base, but the Kamasu is cleaner and feels a little more premium. If the price difference doesn't matter much, we usually recommend looking at both – the Mako models start at a somewhat lower price.

Who do we recommend the Orient Kamasu for?

  • Someone who wants a single watch for everything: work, the beach, hiking.
  • As a first dive watch, since 200 metres of water resistance far exceeds everyday needs.
  • Someone who wants an automatic but not an overly large, bulky case.

How to look after the Kamasu's water resistance

Always keep the crown screwed down in the water, and don't set the watch with wet hands. After sea water, rinse it with tap water. Seals dry out over the years, so if you swim with it regularly, it is worth having the water resistance checked from time to time – our own watch service does that.

How to choose a Kamasu online

The Kamasu's case is medium-sized among men's dive watches and looks proportionate on most wrists. Measure your wrist circumference, and check the case diameter and lug-to-lug distance on the product page; the links of the metal bracelet can be removed afterwards. If you are unsure about the dial colour, zoom in on the photos.

You will find more dive and sports watches among the Orient watches.

Orient Kamasu – what you often ask

What determines the price of an Orient Kamasu?

Mostly the colour and the strap or metal bracelet. The Kamasu starts at a somewhat higher price than the Mako models.

Is the Orient Kamasu the same as the Mako 3?

Not quite: the Kamasu developed further from the Mako III, which is why it is also called the Mako 3 Kamasu. In our range you may come across it under the name Mako III as well.

How water resistant is the Orient Kamasu?

The Orient Kamasu is rated 20 atm, so it is water resistant to 200 metres and suitable for diving. You can wear it for swimming and snorkelling without any problem.
