Our range mainly features men's-size cases, including a smaller-case version. As an official Mido dealer we sell every watch with the manufacturer's warranty. You order online, it is delivered to your door, and our own watch service handles the water resistance check.

What do 200 and 600 mean in the Mido Ocean Star name?

A watch is usually called a dive watch when it is water resistant to at least 20 atm (200 m). The Ocean Star 200 and the 200C reach this level, which is more than enough for swimming, snorkelling and recreational diving. The Ocean Star 600 is rated to 60 atm, built for more serious dives with a sturdier case.

Which Ocean Star should you buy?

  • If you mainly need it for the beach, the pool and everyday wear, the 200 is plenty and sits lighter on the wrist.
  • If you dive, or simply like a larger, more substantial watch, take a look at the 600.
  • For a slimmer wrist, look for the smaller-case version known as the Ocean Star 39; we list the exact diameter on every product page.

How to look after a dive watch's water resistance

Gaskets age over time, so it is worth having the water resistance checked every year or two – our own watch service does this. Rinse the watch after salt water, and before a dive check that the crown is screwed down. If you do not need a dive watch but a sporty everyday piece, the Mido Multifort is rated to 10 atm as well. You can see the full range on the Mido page.
