The Citizen Tsuyosa is an automatic with an integrated metal bracelet and a colourful dial, available from us in several colours, in men's and smaller women's sizes. It is an excellent-value way into the world of mechanical watches. As an official Citizen dealer we deliver to your door with the manufacturer warranty, and if the bracelet is too loose, our own watch service will size it to your wrist.
Why is the Citizen Tsuyosa so popular?
Because it looks like a much more expensive sporty-elegant watch: an integrated steel bracelet, a magnified date window, vivid dials in green, blue, yellow and turquoise, and all of it with an automatic movement, in the accessible part of the mid-range. The name means strength in Japanese. Photos only partly capture the Tsuyosa's colours: a sunray dial changes a lot in the light, so look through all the images on the product page.
Which Tsuyosa should you choose?
- Men's size of around 40 mm: right for most of our customers, and proportionate even on a medium wrist.
- Smaller, women's case: for slim wrists.
- Dial: green and blue are the most popular; if you are after a specific colour, write to us and we will check which one can be ordered.
Can you swim with the Tsuyosa?
We do not recommend it: the Tsuyosa is 5 ATM, which handles hand washing, rain and splashes, but not a pool. If you want to take an automatic into the water, you will find 10 ATM models in our Citizen range.
When buying online, measure your wrist circumference: links can be removed from the integrated bracelet afterwards, but it helps to know which case size suits you.

Is the Citizen Tsuyosa an automatic?
Yes, every Citizen Tsuyosa is an automatic mechanical watch with no battery. If you do not wear it for a few days it stops, and you need to wind it.
What determines the price of the Citizen Tsuyosa?
Primarily the size and the dial: dials in special colours or patterns and limited editions cost more, while the basic colours are at the more affordable end of the series.
Can I swim with a Citizen Tsuyosa?
We do not recommend it. The Tsuyosa is water resistant to 5 ATM, which handles rain and hand washing, but not swimming. For water, choose a 10 ATM Citizen.
Is there a women's Citizen Tsuyosa?
