Orient Men's Watches – Automatic Dive and Dress Watches
We offer a wide selection of Orient men's watches – almost all automatic, complemented by a few solar Makos. You will find roughly half sporty dive watches and half elegant pieces made for wearing under a shirt cuff. We are an official Orient dealer, the watches arrive at your door with the manufacturer warranty, and if you want a strap change or a water resistance check, our own watch service can do it.
Should you buy a sporty or an elegant Orient men's watch?
Orient men's watches are roughly half sporty and half elegant. Most of the sporty ones are 200 metre dive watches – Orient Mako, Kamasu, Ray – which you can swim and hike with, and which don't look out of place on weekdays either. On the elegant side, the Bambino and the Stretto are strongest: a slimmer case, a clean dial, a leather strap. If you are buying a single watch for everything, we usually recommend a Mako with a metal bracelet or a Stretto Date.
Which case size is right for your wrist?
Most men's Orients are around 39–42 mm, which is proportionate on most wrists. If your wrist is under 17 cm, look at the Mako 40 or the 38 mm Bambino; on a thicker wrist the larger Mako IIIs look good too. When shopping online, measure your wrist circumference and check the lug-to-lug distance on the product page – it sometimes matters more than the diameter.
Automatic or solar?
- Automatic: kept alive by the movement of your arm, and it stops if you leave it off for days.
- Solar: charges from light, and doesn't need resetting after a week in a drawer.
- What both have in common is that you never have to take them in for a battery change.
Warranty and service
As an official Orient dealer, every men's watch comes with the manufacturer warranty. An automatic movement needs a check-up every few years, and the seals of dive watches are worth having tested every year with regular use in water – our own watch service does both.
You can see the whole brand on the Orient watches page, and the smaller sizes among the Orient women's watches. If you are torn between two models, write to us and we will help you decide.
Frequently asked questions about Orient men's watches
Which is the most popular Orient men's watch?
The most popular Orient men's watch is the Mako dive watch, followed by the Bambino dress watch. We offer a wide choice of both.
What determines the price of an Orient men's watch?
The movement and the series: the simpler automatic models are the entry level, while the solar Makos, the Kamasu and the Classics with special dials are in the higher price range.
Is there a battery-powered Orient men's watch?
Men's Orients are automatic or light-charged solar models, so you don't have to count on a battery change with any of them.
What size Orient should I choose for a man's wrist?
On an average man's wrist, a 40–42 mm Orient case usually sits best. For a slimmer wrist, the Mako 40 or the 38 mm Bambino is the better choice.
