Nine Astron alarm clocks are waiting on the shelf at our Anna-kút store right now, from 4,800 HUF to 8,500 HUF. They have battery-powered quartz movements and come in lots of colours: white, blue, pink, white-grey, plus gold- and silver-tone. They're great for the bedside table, a child's room or as a back-to-school gift. In the store you can listen to how they ring, and when the battery runs out later, we'll replace it right there.
Which Astron alarm clock should you take home?
- White – we have the most of these, and it fits anywhere.
- Blue and pink – for a child's room, as a first alarm clock of their own.
- White-grey – understated, for a grown-up bedroom.
- Gold- and silver-tone – a bit more elegant, good as a gift too.
Astron is a brand distributed in Hungary – not to be confused with the Seiko Astron wristwatch collection.
What to look out for in an alarm clock
If you're a light sleeper, the ticking may bother you at night, so ask our staff to show you the quieter pieces. The alarm volume varies too, and you can test it in the store. Also check whether you can read the hands in the dark.
Battery changes and clocks for kids
Alarm clocks run on batteries; if they start slowing down or ringing more quietly, usually the battery just needs changing. For a child, it's worth choosing a simple piece with a large dial they can learn to tell the time on. You'll find other brands among our alarm clocks. Come to Anna-kút and set off each one's alarm – in two minutes you'll have a favourite.
